Roar Lion Roar

I remember dedicating part of the blog to Columbia sightings and I have two new updates (that have been sitting in the memory of my blackberry for over a month).

The first, is the creation of an incredibly talented girl by the name of Jenn Leyva, a sophomore here at the college whose creations dazzled me at a ever so stylin' birthday party. She was wearing a beautiful metallic skirt with a matching hair accessory so I asked her where she got them and she proceeded to tell me about how she had made them herself!! CRAZINESSSS!!! Here is a picture of the metallic hair piece.

I don't think this will be the last time you'll be hearing of this lovely lady on my blog. I will definitely be keeping an eye out for her.

Our second perpetrator is my friend Anne Louise (HAPPY BIRTHDAY!) who had some super cool rings that I couldn't resist staring at throughout the duration of our Tuesday brunch. I'm really into protruding rings that make a statement and the silver one is definitely such a ring. Accessories make everything better *sigh*

Its been a while, I know I shouldn't have kept you waiting

These are the words of the ever so bright Britney Spears.
I sincerely apologize to you, reverent readers for my extended absence.
I can go on and make up senseless excuses as to why I haven't been on here as much, but the utter truth is, I decided to take a little break from the internet and focus on some of the more important things in life; something I'm so happy I did. I'm back now, ready to plunge straight into the juicy blogosphere once more.

This past month has been filled with more stories and adventures than I can fathom and I am so excited to finally be back to share them with you.
Shall we get right to it?

The last written update I made was from Egypt, as I was getting ready to embark on an adventurous trip down the Nile to the ancient (and yet super modern) cities of Luxor and Aswan. There, I was flooded with a sea of information about my supernatural ancestors, visiting temples that were open both to the public and getting some exclusive tours of temples few people have been let into (Merci Dad!). While visiting all of the temples, I couldn't help but pay attention to the detail of the silhouettes of the people depicted and how simply complex everything seemed. It definitely brought me to a new level of appreciation of the delicacy of detail.

After such artistic indulgence, I basked in some beautiful Egyptian sun and before I knew it was on a plane headed back to my lovely city.

Here comes the fun part...

Two days after I landed I put on my highest heels and danced myself over to the Teen Vogue offices to interview for a position as a fashion intern. That was about a month and a half ago and I am proud to tell you, dear readers, that I have been interning with the publication for the past 3 WEEKS!!

The internship has been BEYOND amazing. Everyone at the office is so nice and helpful. As one of about 20 interns (we usually have about 10 interns in the office on any given day), it is my responsibility to organize racks, make runs to designer showrooms, and get clothing and accessories ready for photo-shoots and shipping. It is honestly the most fun anyone can have at a job.

This brings us to a very important part of this ridiculously long post.
THE INTERN BLOG.
Because of the confidentiality agreement that I signed when I started working, I won't be able to share too much, but I will be giving you updates about my personal experience and the tasks I've been doing.
KEEP CHECKING BACK FOR UPDATES!

ringing out,
Donia
